Webster Technique
Traditionally used for pregnant women, the Webster technique is used to balance the bones, muscles, and ligaments of the pelvis. Dr. Kelsey uses this technique for many of her patients who are struggling with pelvic problems (period pain, irregular menstrual cycles, and more) as well as pregnant women seeking a healthier/pain-free pregnancy. This technique involves specific adjustments to the sacroiliac joints as well as soft tissue work to specific pelvic ligaments. Dr. Kelsey is certified in the Webster Technique by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). According to the ICPA,
“Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.”
